"The day our daily bread give us today."
(Matthew 6:11)
Our Father and Our Daily Bread come together. In the same prayer Jesus teaches the place of our provisions. Actually, he just wanted to show that the Sovereign God determines the blessing for every Christian.
In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus warned his disciples about the anxiety and concern regarding material goods. If the Father cares for the birds of the sky, the flowers in the field, why not take care of us? But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things shall be added (Matthew 6.28-32).
God bless, honor and multiplies the effort of those who work in His name. The blessing of the LORD, that enriches and adds no sorrow (Proverbs 10:22).
We earn our living by their own efforts. Not wildly (2 Thessalonians 3:11). Try to be at ease, treating each of your business and work with your own hands (2 Thessalonians 4:11-12).
In this materialistic age, in which the status and character of the people are measured by what they have, our standard is different. The consumerism and unbridled ambition must go far away from us. Our happiness and well-being come from purpose, providence and God's consolations.
He assures reward our generosity when we acknowledge Him as Lord and honor Him with our tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:10). This attitude is destroying the root of all evils, which is the love of money (1 Timothy 6:10).
He who searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit is, because He who intercedes for the saints according to God (Romans 8:26-27).
Never has there been so much wealth on earth. But immense exploitation, corruption and waste. Thousands of Christians are suffering the consequences of this imbalance wich has led to desperate individuals, families, nations and continents bankrupt. And everybady cries: It's the economy, the economy!
- No. It's lack of fear of the Lord.
Rest in the Lord, trust in Him. Because God will provide (Genesis 22:8).
What can we do, the impossible, Our Father will!
Our Father, we depend on you till the bread each day.
Need of your love. This love that overflows, which surpasses all boundaries and brings us to the understanding of ourselves and others. Bless your people with the bread of each day, the Bread of Life. The health, safety, joy and peace. We need your.
Our Father, you gave us the Gospel through Thine Only Son is bread and wine. When Jesus Christ gave His life on the cross, He shed His blood and had the body broken for our sake.
Thank you for forgiveness we receive the power of the blood that cleanses us and the bread that sustains us.
We praise you for the Holy Communion in Truth. We recognize that we are flawed. We err when we judge our brothers and condemn sinners. We find ourselves better than them. Forgive us.
Strengthen us with Thy Word is Truth.
Works in us the sweet communion of your Spirit.
Humbly beg: Give us this bread every day.
God bless you.
