THE ANOINTING
"You shall take the anointing oil and pour it on his head."
(Exodus 29:7-9)

A new dimension of life is beginning.
God's demands are growing and being
met. Man walking step by step. The
blessing is coming. God wants to do this
with you and me every day.

"After John was put in prison, Jesus
came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of
the kingdom of God, and saying, 'The time
is fulfilled...'" (Mark 1:14-15). The anointing
enters through time, advancing through
history, touching, cutting, stirring,
smoothing, and preparing the whole man
for God's hour.

“And you shall take the anointing oil,
pour it on his head, and anoint him. Then
you shall bring his sons and put tunics on
them. And you shall gird them with sashes,
and put the hats on them. The priesthood
shall be theirs for a perpetual statute...”
(Exodus 29:7-9).

Something seems to break away from
eternity and fall on that man. It is the
Anointing of God, priesthood by perpetual
statute. The timeless invading the
temporal, the sacred and the secular, the
symbolic and the real.

God's whole plan was to reach that
moment.

He wants to anoint us with the Holy
Spirit. Jesus Christ's greatest concern is
not just that we be saved, but that we be
able to take on His mission.

His ministry only began after the
anointing at His baptism. The power was
only released after that great day. This is
exactly what He intends to do with us.

“Give me the anointing, Lord! How I
need it! Either I have it, or I die!” - our
incessant cry.

It is as if God Himself were trying to
expand in and through the lives of certain
men.

The process moves forward quickly.
Suddenly, it stops here, stumbles there. It
is me. It is you. God wants to act. How
difficult it is... But soon after, thanks be to
God - it is heaven on earth and within us -
everything starts up again with greater
vigor. In fact, He never stopped. We were
the ones who did not see it.

A vital process in us: a work that is
completed every day but unfinished over
the years, and it only ends in eternity, in
the life of Jesus.
