"The Glory is departed from Israel!" - (1 Sa 4.21)

            "...And the Spirit landed me in the middle of a valley" (Eze 37.1)

            ... The Glory of the Lord went out of the temple. The Cherubim lifted wings, lifted up from the earth and came out accompanied by the wheels. Even if arrested at the door of the eastern entrance. The Glory of the Lord was on top. And it moved slowly... It seemed not to want to leave the temple... Was also in the middle of the city. And the Spirit of the Lord took me in His vision (Eze 10.18; 11.22-24).

Now, the city was open. The Temple empty. The Spirit of God outside. "Preach thy tongue to your palate, and not able to serve them of reproof, because they are a rebellious house" (Eze 3.26). The impact force, the pain of emotion and the weight of the abominations of the people fell on the Prophet. Ezekiel has lost his voice. The Armies of the Chaldeans arrived at the gates. Nebuchadnezzar ahead of his troops. How to live here, how to be happy here? (Eze 33.10). If everything stood to lose and the man does not want to stop?!

            The prophets ridiculed preachers ironic, the Living Word despised by the "new-truths" of the time. "Thou art unto them as a soft song, well sung to the sound of stringed instruments: they hear thy words, but not the practice!" (Eze 33.32). Hard to the oracles of Ezekiel to different nations, peoples around and the religious leaders of Israel: "Woe to the Shepherds who feed themselves. You feed with milk, you wear with the wool and slaying the sheep!" (Eze 34.1-2).

            When the Lord moves away from the Sanctuary, the disaster is total. Yahweh has determined the construction of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, in the desert. "And let them make me a Sanctuary, that I may dwell in the midst of it; do according to the model that I showed you in the mount" (Ex 25.8 and 40). The Tabernacle - the lobby, the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies. "There I will meet with thee, from above the mercy seat, from between the Cherubim on the Ark of the Testimony, talk with thee there..." (Ex. 25.22).

            Ark, presence and Glory of God in the midst of the people! Then, on the same day of the battle against the Philistines, a young warrior came running from the ranks – earth on the head and torn clothes - and it was Eli, in Shiloh. Sitting in his chair, shook the heart of the old High Priest, fearing for the Ark of the Lord.

            The news was devastating: Israel had lost the battle, his sons Hofini and Phinehas were killed, and the Ark of the Covenant taken by the Philistines. Eli toppled over the chair back, and died (1Sa 4.16-19). The Nora, the wife of Phinehas, pregnant and close to childbirth, to hear that the ark of the Lord was taken, that your husband and your father had died, went into labor pains and gave birth.

            And women will say: "Fear not, was born unto thee a man child!" Embittered, "he called the child of Icabod - The Glory is departed from Israel because the Ark of God was taken!" (1Sa 4.20-22).Parte inferior do formulário

            The Lord's Church is the Holy, the Temple, the Altar, Worship and all its elements.

            There is still hope, after all this? Yes, there are faithful promises of the Lord: I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My Statutes; I will give you a new heart, and put within you a new spirit; I will pour clean water upon you, and you shall be clean; you shall be my people and I will be your God." (Eze 36.25-27).

            "I will follow thee, I will follow thee, for where you are, the Holy Spirit, I will."
