Ahkuen, one day, after long conversations and intense preparation,

asked for the blessing of missionaries to leave. And there was our dear man of God. In fact,

he became the first missionary Peniel to mainland China.

Ahkuen was going up the road to the north. He sought never to

depart much from the coast, in such a way that could easily return.

From village to village he followed.

Visit the houses more poor. He entered each hut. Everyone stopped

to listen to him and wanted to know how won the terrible addiction to opium.

In the tiny dark huts he met with the people. He opened the Bible and

announced a new hope, a true life of peace and salvation in Christ.

I can imagine those lowly farmers, men of the field, taking the straw hat,

scribe and handmade, to listen reverently to the

Word of God in their own language or dialect.

Many tears have happened.

The conversions were occurring to the mountains.

And he was making, along the inside of China, but not far

from the coast, a sequence of countless "communities

of prayer and study of the Word."

Zhuhai to Canton, passing through Shanghai and up to Inner

Mongolia, he was leaving the footprints of the Cross.

Ahkuen managed to make two of these longer trips. He even told us,

which in some of these villages had established small "houses of recovery". (...)

... Among the thousands of Christians who are now secretly in China,

a part immense, immeasurable and blessed - I hear you say

- should that little ex-drug addict, found on the streets of Macau.

I still see your smile, the smell of tasty fish in the kitchen,

"We have started a campaign of 12 days in order to achieve the blessings

of God to work in Rio Branco, Northern Region, Brazil and abroad.

God will do great things! Pray for the northern part of the country; Amazon region.

We have seen grow much the waves of violence, robberies,

deaths and disputes between factions. And all because of drugs.

But God has kept and maintained. We're well:

Sulamita, Prª Sonia, Samuel; and his brother Francisco continue his treatment. God is at work!

The Church is well and lively. Our center of recovery, with the arrival of the

Pr. Wesley and Cleide, only improved! At the moment we are with a beautiful group.

We need more a worker experienced, full-time, so that we

can extend service to families who, desperate, look to us for help."

“... EXCITED AND RENEWED"

We are excited and renewed.

We enter the year of 2017 with the certainty

that great things will happen to God's people. We had a wonderful

worship on January 01 with the yearly anointing.

The presence of God was remarkable

and wonderful. This year we are prophesying the "Time of Revival".

On days 27, 28 and 29 January will be the “1st Congress of Praise and Worship",

with the presence of pastors in the region, experiencing the unity among the churches of Christ

(Psalm 133). We are praying, planning and working to change

the lining of the Church. We are excited. We believe that God will provide all things.

Flordilis and Sarah are great health. We will participate in the "Regional Meeting Midwest".

These will be days of move of the Holy Spirit. May the blessings of God be

upon the life of all. God is at work! A strong hug in the beloved Church in Pr. Reuel and in every Ministry.
