There were many men in the world who have sought for a New Way. They have struggled to create it, struggled to find it and even died in this anxious search. However, they found nothing.

The New Way is more than a philosophy, a religion or a personal discovery. Some privileged succeeded in that. But soon they came across an irrelevant discovery, temporary and empty.

The Psalmist tells us with the simplicity, beauty and depth of someone who has found something superior, full of content and eternity.

Actually, he hasn’t discovered anything. He simply has found himself face to face with the divine revelation of Lord's law. The Law that leads us to a new life, above the human wisdom and the lifestyle of those who don't know the Lord. He never sits in the seat of the scornful.

The Word of the Lord feeds him. It's the manna of his soul, harvested every day, and the meditation that give relief to the soul, whether by day or night.

 The New Way to a New Year will make us be like a tree chosen by God, which was fetched in the gardens of his heart and planted by the fresh waters. It doesn't wither or grow old, but it produces scented, tasty and beautiful fruits in any season!

The true servants of God are like those fruitful trees. Everything they touch changes completely, thrives and revives, even if it's dead!

The challenge of the year is being new with the New Time. Being productive, blessed, blesser and transformer.

If the wind disperses the ungodly, the Breath of the Holy Spirit brings Christians together and strengthens the Holy Communion around the precious Jesus Christ.

The righteous ones pass unharmed through the judgment, they don't suffer damage from the rebellious sinners, but they overcome the gatherings, revolts and rebellions of those who don't know God.

The Path of the righteous never ends, it goes directly to the heart of God, because God's Word will never pass away, and the righteous with it.

May the Lord of Glory abundantly bless you in this New Year!

the counsel of the righteous

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

            But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

            And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

            The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

            Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

            For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

            Guinea-Bissau – Africa

            "IT IS THE TIME OF GUINEA!"

            "We returned from Senegal on December 26th. We were moved by the needs of the Senegalese nation. The country professes Islam as its main religion. The majority of the animists are Guineans who live there, mostly children. When they are still very young, children are taken from Guinea-Bissau to Senegal to learn Islam. They lose their mother tongue and start speaking only the Olofe dialect, and at the most they learn French. Many of them end up learning Arabic because of Islam.

The oppression and persecution in Senegal are great. There are churches in Zuinguichor, mostly consisting of foreigners. Guineans are the greatest strength. We have crossed the country and we saw only one church built. A Baptist church, founded by Brazilian missionaries. But we also saw many mosques, they are big and impressive. The mosques are both in wealthy neighborhoods as in poor, near the border with Guinea Bissau.

We visited a family of missionaries whose pastor, a Brazilian missionary, is imprisoned in Senegal because of evangelizing, caring, giving food and sheltering talibes children in his missionary project. Children are dominated by Marabu, a spiritual leader, recognized by Senegalese people. Are already almost two months of prayer and negotiation for the release of the missionary and that the name of the Lord be glorified.

Some missionaries, with whom we contacted in Senegal and Gambia, told us they stay up to 10 years without winning a soul. These are countries with long-term results. Praise God that there are many Guineans there. Believers who have been giving missionary force in the West African Coast. Guinea-Bissau is our hope for the preaching of the Gospel, today and in the future. A small country, poor and despised, but which has been spreading and forming a strong people, clothed with power, in several countries of the West Coast. God really chooses the small, insignificant and weak things to confuse the strong ones!

            It is the time of Guinea. We have to invest here, forming the basis to achieve the African Nations. Our New Year's worship occurred with good presence of the churches, and it lasted until 4 am. We miss you all. We wish a year of great achievements of God's dream for all the Peniel Work.”

            MOVEMENT OF PASTORS

Considering the need of the Work and the urgency of the hour, after much prayer and consult with pastors, the Peniel Ministry in Belo Horizonte has decided to indicate, by divine conviction, the TRAINEE ADÃO TEIXEIRA DA SILVA, to assume the pastorate of PENIEL CHURCH IN ALTA CRUZ, RS. He's going to the mission field together with his wife Mara Cristina Almeida da Silva and his son Rafael Althiere Almeida da Silva. Adão will be credentialed and sworn in today at Headquarters. And then he goes with the "Living Church" on January 10th to the new field of work.

Pastor EDUARDO BOMBACCINI, the current Pastor in Cruz Alta, is going to BELÉM, Pará State, on January 15th. Bombaccini is Sub-Lieutenant of the Brazilian Army and he will move to the new state by functional transfer. Let us pray for him, JÔ, his wife and their son. May God bless his pastors and their new fields of work.

            PASTOR RENÊ PEREIRA FEITOSA

Our dear Pastor RENÊ PEREIRA FEITOSA was hospitalized last week. But on Tuesday, the 8th, he was transferred to his home in Campo Grande, MS. His condition is still worrying and we need to pray for this beloved servant of God. May the Lord of Glory comfort, encourage and bless him and his daughter Sonja, Gizelle and Maikel, which do their utmost in caring for him. Let us pray in his favor.
