(2 Chronicles 7:12) There are places consecrated by man, but there are places sanctified by God. "I chose this place for me" (v.12). For the Lord knows the hearts and separates for himself what is precious to Him.

God knows the motives, the underlying causes of each heart. Some are religious dedication and others, dedication by contrition. The latter, a true surrender driven by love.

Remember Cain’s and Abel’s offerings? (Genesis 4. 3-4). One came from sincere love, recognition of the goodness of God and His wonders. Cain brought the offering of the fruit of the land. He sought in the field the finished product to deliver it to the Lord. Abel's offering was the price of blood. Offer marked by sacrifice.

God knows the hearts.

"I have heard your prayer" (v.12), said the Lord. Even the heavens are closed, even when there is no rain; even if the hogs multiply and iniquity spreads all over; though the earth be consumed by famine, plague, disease, pain; unemployment, robbery and violence, "I will hear from heaven” the prayers from this place (2 Chronicles 7:14).

More than rain, He will send the waters and the waters of life, showers of blessings from heaven!

What is this place that the Lord blesses so copiously, contradicting everything that happens around? (v.14). Please, remember: The Lord appeared to Solomon by night and said he had chosen that place.

That word is real, symbolic and prophetic.

Real because the Lord's blessing of choice would rest forever on that House.

            God has specially elected places, "My House", He said; Symbolic, because the human heart is the temple where the Spirit of the Lord abides; Prophetic, because it refers to the Church, the people chosen as the holy priesthood to witness to the world the glory of the Lord (1 Peter 2.9).

When God's people seek His face, humble themselves, turn away from evil ways, He  always hears our prayers, forgives, heals and keeps His eyes on us, and His ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place (2 Chronicles 7.15).

            No matter what goes on outside.

"You come to rescue your people; to save Your anointed. The Sovereign Lord is my strength. He makes my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places”. (Hab 3.13,19)

This is the year of God’s great blessing to His people. You can tell that already, can’t you?

Room full,  a holy buzz... They are Peniel Mission School’s first students at our welcome class for 2015! A wonderful time of praising and thanking the Lord for knowing that those students are answers to our prayers! "Lord, send workers into Your harvest," we prayed. And He sent them! We thank God for the students who are still coming in. The first class was full. Men and women sent by the Lord from all over Brazil. We thank God and thank those who interceded alongside with us.
