… Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us…” (Romans 8:37b)

The fools destroy themselves in their own dullness. They submit their lives to their own passions and are defeated by their own ambitions. They run their lives as if they are their own gods. To compare oneself to God is completely crazy and totally undone. This is exactly the same as to stand against God.

On the other hand, I believe in God’s plans for His people. “I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee” (Job 42:2). I also know that we were bought with a price-“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32) Surely, accusations will not outweigh; persecutions will not last; the untruth will be revealed. The darts of the wicked thrown against Godly people are ultimately destroyed and fall dead. “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).

God’s people will alway see through their economic crises, recections, power, harassment, catacombs, illness, moral or physical pain- “For thy sake we are killed all the day long... Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” (Romans 8:36-37) No anticipation or opposition can stop God’ plans. “there is none that can deliver out of my hand:  I will work, and who shall let it”, says the Lord (Isaiah 43:13b). God is unstoppeable.

WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS

What conclusions can we draw from this fact?

If God is for us who can be against us? He that did not spare His own son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?  Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

A CUT OUT STONE!

“...The stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king...”

(Daniel 2:45)

The Cut out Stone speaks of the past, present and future. It is strenghn that sustains nations. It is the stone which the builders refused. It is the salvation of the world. “Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.” (1Peter 2:6) This Stone “shall break and consume all these kingdoms.” (Daniel 2:44c)

God’s people beware of all human contradictions, anxieties, sufferings, expectations, fears, and tribulations. Indeed, stay steadfast in the faith on Christ Jesus, the Son of God. “For thou art my rock and my fortress.” (Psalmos 31:3)
